I really didn’t know what to expect with respect to the culture, commitment to employees success, etc.. I really cannot imagine working for a company of that size who really care about their people. We get 3 weeks vacation from day1, sick and personal time. All of us in field sales are off the road now due to CV19. No one has been laid off, we are still being paid and continue to receive the excellent benefits package. I’m very happy there!

If you want a very stressful job this is the job for you. The management and the way things have to do be done in my opinion is the worst part of the job. I could handle angry customers but the micromanaging got to be too much. They want this job to consume your whole entire life. I got threatened with disciplinary actions because I took 2 days off because I had a sick kid. The pay and benefits are great and like the only good part about the job but even the money wasn’t enough because the job will mentally drain you. The leads were super helpful if you needed help. I don’t know it was my first time working in a call center and if they all operate like Spectrum it is my last time for sure.

There isn't much from the positive side of things other than it paid the bills. On the negative side however, I can go on for a while. The list is long and that is due to the lack of recognition for hard work from upper management. Not just direct managers and supervisors but we are talking about directors and VPs that walk around as if they are dictators and make no attempt at recognizing those on the bottom level doing all of the hard work. The level of corporate politics is off the charts and they have no shame in it. They like to segregate into the different companies since Spectrum is 3 in 1, and if you happened to be from the company that your upper management was from you got promoted and better opportunities of growth then other individuals way more qualified. If you want a place to work and retire, this is the place to go. If you want to grow and learn, stay as far away from them as possible, most higher level network engineers have no idea what their doing and the "design team" is a bunch of unknowledgeable individuals that either knew someone or where in the correct area code to get that position.
Pros
Cheap internet and television
Cons
Everything else

When it was time warner they hired from within no that its spectrum they hire from outside first before they advance the employees that already work for them. The system is messed up but instead of them taking accountability they blame you. The job is a scam they blame you the tech for everything no accountability and they want you to do things that are not apart of your job description. Like working through your lunch to meet the quota or working past your time off or giving customers your number so they can call you direct so you don't get repeats and customers call all times 12 am you bet ya no respect. If you're looking to be stuck in the same spot this is the job for you.
Pros
Discounted cable
Cons
work through breaks, politics, not much room for advancement

As an outside salesman, they promote flexible schedules. However, they micromanage your entire day. Benefits are great and pay is good if you can sell. Upward mobility is an issue, as almost all supervisors and managers are hired from outside of this department.
Pros
Can pay well if successful, Amazing benefits, plenty of PTO
Cons
Micromanagement, lack of upward mobility, supervisors and managers who have never done the job they manage

A lot of dealing with sometimes end users who don’t know how to use their smart devices .A lot of typing since you dispatch all the time .It doesn’t matter what you know ,there is no recognition. Not a lot of room for learning if you don’t fit the criteria set forth by management .You make your good money on OT
Pros
Good benefits
Cons
No career advancement no recognition

I've been working here for a year and I don't want anyone to go through what I did with this company. You are a number to them, you can't even call out for a snow day. management is horrible as well. tread lightly with this company, pay is good but a job is a lot more than just pay.
Pros
pay, free food
Cons
short breaks, management

I've been here three years and have to honestly say I love it here at Spectrum Enterprise. Mainly due to my manager who is tough but extremely fair. The compensation is decent and the people I work with aren't throwing others under buses. Not bad for a large company.
Pros
Inclusiveness
Cons
Not remote work friendly

Too many favorites however if you work hard you will be recognized. Personal time, unpaid vacation, flex time and workforce is horrible but job is ok you just have to know that you will deal with irate customers if you cannot deal with that then this is not for you.
Pros
lots of money that can be made, and complimentary cable
Cons

I worked at the Austin location in Video Repair..its an extremely hard job and there is way too many supervisors messaging you for every little thing which makes the hard job even harder. The pay is decent but not enough for getting yelled at all day..especially when there is an outage. Because of covid19 there's not too much floor support so when you actually need someone goof luck. Their not very understanding when you get sick..you would think in these times they would be but that's not the case.
Pros
Break room is nice
Cons
Stressful, micro manage, angry customers

There is no doubt the benefits and the pay at Spectrum can be great. My two years there I made 45K and 60K respectively - others can make way more or less. The benefits are worth it as well - great benefits at a really low cost. I got the best overall benefits package for around $45 a paycheck with HRA and FSA, great dental and vision and 401K. However, this job will eat at your mental health. Unless you are made of aggressive Sales attitude. Outside of that, management doesn’t care about your mental health. They can talk all day about the “LiveWell” program but, in practice, they work to deteriorate it. I already suffer Depression but the absolute anxiety and beatdowns by management effects everyone. It went from a good job to a typical grinding call center sales job within months - putting the screws to its workers at every turn, changing the standard to meet without notice. Sales goals changed rapidly, you never knew what it would change to until it did, and then would put you through the ringer. It can be a good job, but the culture is toxic. You will have a hard time winning alot of customers over without trying to cheat (which gets rewarded). They don’t have deals to compete with others. Only internet is a good deal in most places. The prices will always continue to raise making you unable to compete for the majority of customers. And that is the stated goal of the CEO - to be a middle of the road service, middle of the road pricing, and middle of the road technology. Which means - customers either gonna take it or they can leave. Overall, a good place to work sometimes,?-?more...
Pros
Good pay, good benefits, lots of PTO
Cons
Mental health, bad management, bad CEO, Bad HR

It is best to stay away from the Williamston, South Carolina office. Overworked and underpaid. Many of the guys feel stuck due to the free cable, benefits, etc.
Pros
Free lunch if you're with a supervisor
Cons
The 2nd in charge at Williamston doesn't like black people

If you like making money and actually getting paid for sales. STAY AWAY. They will work against you and keep you're commission. management doesn't care about you're pockets only there's. You will have to make 100% to goal. If you missed you're number by 1. They will keep everything you earned and also they will right you up for it. I was written up for being 94% to goal and they kept my whole commission check. As my supervisor he was at 67% to goal and he still got paid his commission. While his team FAILED.
Pros
That I finally left this company.
Cons
All of Management and HR doesn't care. They act like they do...

This is the worse job I ever had lol the pay is awesome if you’re young and don’t have many bills but the job is completely horrible! I make way less money at my old job but I am definitely going back! Spectrum internet services are horrible and they know it ! They force us to lie to customers to make up for their horrible internet services training is useless because you don’t learn the stuff until you’re actually on the floor
