Good company but no opportunity to grow. The company is managed from the corporate office and the field staff are secondary. There is a lot of travel involved, which I am not opposed to, but am looking for something with less travel involved and opportunity.
As a long term employee you either get hired on high or get taken advantage of for many years, the experience or dedication are not really taken into account used to be family minded way more corporate style very high turnover last few years 80% of the company has only been there a few years now most intelligent people not wanting to sink already jumped ship the other parts of the company are so near they dont even know what's comming
The high growth combined with the great culture is rare to find. The high growth provides employees with continual opportunities to grow as an individual and their career, and the great culture makes it enjoyable to come to work every day.
Allowed ownership thinking, Working with A Players, 100% Employee-Owned, EBT Bonus
PFSbrands offers employee-owners the opportunity to make their own decision and impact the company. 100% employee owned makes everyone think like an owner. They celebrate their wins as a team and learn from their losses. A Great Place to Work!
100% Employee Owned, No Micro Management
My decision to join PFSbrands was a great choice! I've had the opportunity to grow professionally and personally due to the investment the company has made in the workforce. The executive leadership team has a great vision for the future and they care about the people who work here. There are high expectations if you join this team, but there's also a great amount of support to help each person reach their full potential! PFSbrands has recently converted to a 100% ESOP structure (Employee-Owned). This is a tremendous opportunity due to the fact that the company hasn't begun to scratch the surface of what it can become in the future!
100% Employee-Owned, EBT Bonus, 100% Health Care Paid, Personal & Career Development, Challenging, Fast-Pased, Work with "A Players", Open Communication
Located in a smaller rural area.
In the time I was there I had multiple bosses, some lasting only a month or two. The work/family balance that is bragged about was a farce as the company wanted more and more of my time. Our department was constantly shuffled to report to other departments. Pay raises would be promised and not delivered. Very high turnover rate for a reason.
They claim work/life balance, but in reality want you to commit more time to making them successful. Your family comes second to the company. The opportunity for advancement is there, if you are willing to sacrifice priceless time with your family, and miss important things in the lives of your children. The only positive with this company is that they tend to pay on the higher end of the pay scale.
Poor leadership, Head down and don't question the leadership environment
I loved this company. Best place I've ever worked. The only reason I left was because I made a life decision to move back home to St. Louis for family and an engagement to my future wife. I would recommend PFS to anyone.
Great culture, CEO and people

Do these reviews help you learn more about working at Pro Food Systems, Inc.?
There is no typical day, always fast paced and no down time. Senior Management is all about the bottom line being profitable. Company is rapidly growing and is very top heavy. I have learned many new skills and computer systems. The co-workers are very hard working and everyone puts in 100% if not more. The hardest part of my job is not showing emotion when things don't go right, things fall through cracks from lack of follow-up from others. Not being able to balance between work and personal life, I take a lot of pride in my work and I always want it completed and done accurately.
No Raises or EBT Payouts
