I love the people in the main office. They're very helpful. This job puts a lot of wear and tear on your vehicle and you only gain hourly pay for mileage driven after 45 minutes, one way. It's really nice to always be on the move and work independently. The dead time between clients can really add up and kill your "hourly" wage since you're paid per job.
Pros
Make your own schedule, always something new
Cons
Can be long periods of dead time between jobs, wear and tear on vehicle

I love the flexibility of this job, but when clients cancel, you don't get paid. If you drive 45 minutes each way and a client doesn't show up, you get paid $10. When it was a supplemental income, the benefits of flexible work hours made it worth it. But now that I am the sole provider for my family, the lack of guaranteed hours and the cancelations have made me reevaluate my career.
Pros
Flexible hours
Cons
No shows, cancelations, cannot count on income

The work is easy and the schedule is flexible as you work when you want to and take off when needed. You have to put in a lot of hours to make the money you would need to support yourself. No benefits except 401k. If you live in a larger city, I am sure you could make more money and possibly benefits.
Pros
Flexible schedule
Cons
Pay

I love that I can work as much or as little as I want. As a full time employee you do get holiday pay and PTO and it is easy to draw when needed but as a mobile examiner I am not offered those options. I love my job and the convenience it brings however it would be much better if I could be considered a full time employee so I can have benefits offered.
Pros
Make your own schedule
Cons
No benefits

I'm an examiner for Examone. While i love the work I do. I can say from experience with the way they do business that no matter how much money or how busy you want to be or how much time you give this company, you will only be as busy as the schedulers allow you to be. And forget about trying to speak up for yourself when it comes to how they schedule your day if the schedulers don't want to give you work you won't get to work. Your life is simply left up to them. I think there has to be a better way to make a daily schedule for yourself. Bc there has been days that I'll sign up for 12 hour day in 3 months advance but I'll only have 3 clients to do for the entire 12 hours, and they'll spread them out through out the whole day. It's ridiculous. I'm supposedly full time. But how am I supposed to survive off 3 or 5 clients per day. I'll ask for more but they give me less. So for this scheduling issue I give examone a 3 out of 5 stars.
Pros
I work alone
Cons
Schedulers stink!

Working for the Exam One company was very informative. The leads and superiors were very when I had a question or didn't understand a process. I was working part-time from home, and then my full-time job needed me to travel, so I would not be able to keep up with my schedule at Exam One. That is the only reason I quit
Pros
Good pay for a part time job, and the company recognized you performed well
Cons
No health care options but it was part time.

I was hired last June (2019) to start a brand new division within the company - summarization of medical records. Within 3 months I was promoted to a level II analyst and was told over and over that I couldn't have the title of a "lead" but had been doing all of the functions of one. When we came on, we were told our client would be starting in July. July came and went and nothing happened. It was not until November when our client came on and apparently behind the scenes the upper management did a poor job in making the deal because they gave us about 5 times the volume they supposedly "agreed" to originally. It was deemed as a "miscommunication". However, we were a 10 person team still expected to do the work of what a 50 person team would do. The client was consistently unhappy with the backlog of production and still no mention by anyone at ExamOne that we are not staffed appropriately of this volume. It was about January when I realized there was an issue. We were told that they were cutting their volume to ZERO until we got the backlog caught up. The closer and closer we got to breaking even, the more worried I got when there was no plan to turn volume back on... then COVID hits. Within a month, we were given the option to volunteer for furlough. At that point, I had worked too hard to turn back now so I denied it and ran the risk of losing my job. However, they allowed me join another team "temporarily" to help out while they figured out what our team would do. It has now been 5 months since that happened and no one has ever said a single word about our "old" jobs. I?-?more...

If you’re full time you drive thousands of miles per week. Your travel time and fuel isn’t covered by them. You get a stipend but then your regular wages are cut. You will be scheduled in Bowling Green at 12pm and Owensboro at 1pm.
Pros
You get to get out of the office
Cons
Be prepared to drive thousands of miles and not be paid for mileage or your time.

Overall this is a horrible company to work for you have to beg for supplies they don't supply enought ppe during covid. The pay is terrible they don't pay for mileage you work as a independent contractor but they take out taxes and want you to clock in when your not paid on a hourly rate you are paid by the case which the compensation is better $18.00 to$26.00 per case. You have to buy ink and paper have internet access and your not compensated for mileage. Even after you have done the exam most of your time is spent doing paperwork faxing and uploading to the portal and processing specimens you have to ship out. Not worth all the work for a little money. Good for experience but you should only work to get experience and leave.
Pros
Freelance and flexibility
Cons
Too much work for little pay and no appreciation

The work is very repetitive and non-stop, but it's not bad if you're someone who likes talking to a variety of people all the time. And the staff and supervisors do their best to be supportive - as time allows. But for me, being someone who always wants to do well, it was hard seeing my metrics numbers in so many areas in the red because standards were unrealistic and I was still learning. And considering the fairly low pay, the stress was not worth it, especially when the REQUIRED overtime grew to as much as 18 extra hours per week.
Pros
Good benefits, nice people to work with
Cons
Crazy expectations and overtime hours

It’s a pandemic going on and they are being extremely cheap with PPE gowns. You must use the same gown until it fully tears. They’ll take their sweet time mailing out our safety equipment but will make sure you have the supplies you need to continue to work. If you work after hours (after 5pm) good luck getting help or feedback in a decent time, especially on the weekends. They’ll say they are there for support but they will leave you to fend for yourself. The pay is minimal. Other companies pay more. They will contact you at all times of the day, on or off the schedule and expect you to drop everything to respond to them but they won’t do the same for you while you have an emergency. They’ll schedule your appointments so close to each other you’re rushing out of every appointment you have, to try to make it on time to the next. If you don’t put a limit and tell them you will only take a certain amount of clients a day they will expose you to as many patients as you possible. Not concerned for the safety of your health or your families.
Pros
Work your own schedule
Cons
What breaks? Poor pay, poor communication, no real support, scheduling issues.

I love my job. Just like any job it has pros and cons. The pros are flexibility, helpfulness of the administration, located all over the US, the pay varies quite a bit. As a contracted examiner I work on my own. The only thing I wish was offered is that tax deductions were taking out by the company because as it is right now I am self employed.
Pros
Schedule, job duties, work on your own
Cons
no benefits, self employed so taxes are your responsibility

I was so hopeful when I got hired. Soon after I started, my position got terminated and they moved me to another position that was awful with power hungry management and forced us to work 10 hours of OT every week with no leniency for those with children. I was micro managed and reprimanded like a 4th grader. Communication was awful and favorites are absolutely played. When reaching out to "higher ups" with concerns it's completely disregarded. This place does NOT care about their employees, they are money and power hungry corporate jerks that use people as much as they possibly can until they're burnt out and ready to quit. If you value a work/life balance don't work here. No amount of money is worth the bullying and harassment tolerated here

Pay
Cons
Everything else

In the interview they state family oriented. All a lie. If you need to take your kid to the doctor good luck. They say little to no over time. Also a lie. Hired for 40 hour week was working 60+ mandatory. Management had favorites and everyone knew who they were. Different rules for every single person and every lead or supervisor would tell you a different rule. If you need to leave at your scheduled time to get off oh well. You could not log off until 2 minutes till and if you got a call that lasted an hour and 30 minutes you couldn't transfer to another agent so you could leave you have to stay until phone call was over and if you happen to get another call right after looks like your staying even longer. If you have to go to the bathroom you had to subtract the amount off your scheduled break time. If you are idle for more then 15 seconds you get a message from someone asking why and it usually was because computer issues and they don't care.
Pros
Decent insurance
Cons
Everything besides
